Marcia,Marcia,Marcia!

Hello. It's good to be back finally. Our last post was right around last years Turkey Day. I had some plans for a few blog posts around Christmas time but my Dad passing away( I'll have a blog post about that soon) just kind of took the wind out of me.

So why am I playing some Brady Bunch music? Well this time of year it's seems to be everyone's birthday in our Brady Bunch blended family. Between my wife and I we have five kids. So the oldest son and sister in law's birthdays are celebrated this weekend every year.

As it happens the sister in law loves Mo Brady's in Davenport. Get it? Am I tying this mayhem all together for you?

So as usual it's off to Mo Brady's in north Davenport.

Mo Brady's bills itself as a steakhouse. Full disclosure our family has been to Mo's many times.

Mo's is different from other steak places in the QC. For one thing there is no country music blaring and peanut shells everywhere. Conversation can happen without YELLING!

I like that.

A dreary snow filled day it is. But it's winter and I love winter. Let's go!

A rum and coke to set the mood.

Mo Brady's is on Brady St just south of 53rd St. It's been there forever and a day and most folks familiar with the QC know where it's at.

A few interior shots. Pardon my crappy cellphone pics.

A few thought. Mo's attracts a somewhat older clientele and that's okay with me,if just for carrying on a conversation with out being loud. The staff is friendly and attentive. We tipped rather well. And my usual is 20 percent most often.

The men's bathroom was spic and span. Although we were there before the rush  No complaints from me.

The menu.

I only got a pic of my plate. I ordered an 11oz Sirloin and baked potato with a gallon of sour cream and butter.  My steak was cooked a perfect medium rare. The rest of the family got everything from catfish, chicken strips to filets and shrimp.

I'd give my steak an 8.5. I've had better, but I have also had much worse. Ya really can't go wrong at Mo Brady's.

Happy Birthday to Eric and Gail!

A sign across the street.

A music interlude with Rod and Jeff. You should get it.

Final thoughts. I hope that our life gets somewhat back to normal This blog has been askew since last July thru some broken bones, apathy and too much work. And a death in the family kicked my ass.

If you ever need a steak and are near Mo Brady's you can't go wrong.

As always we do this for the fun.

Here's hoping 2019 is a pizza year!

Cheers

Scott,Sher and Moll.
