After last weeks totally old school visit to Harris Pizza.Sher and I once again decided to head on over the Mississippi River for pizza. We are trying to alternate from Iowa to Illinois just for variety.Anyways.

A chance Yelp review that I spied led us to Tony's Chicago Style Pizza on the hill in Moline.Right across the street from the now closed Belgium Village.

As usual.

Over the river and thru the yada yada yada woods.A few pics of the new casino at  I-74 and I-80 and the beautiful river I love.

The old Belgium Village restaurant. It's for sale if one is so inclined to buy.

 Some Mexican joint.
The new Clint's Pizza. It's right next to Tony's.We will get to Clint's in due time also.

Ok.Lets check out Tony's.

The facilities.

Goofing off.

On with the pizza! As this pizza place is not the usual QC pizza style we usually get, hence the Chicago style. We ordered a small pepperoni deep dish and a thin crust sausage.

A few color photos.

The menu.

Moll liked Tony's so much she got a t-shirt!

Ok.A few thoughts.I hadn't ever heard of Tony's until doing some research for a different pizza place.Sher was interested to try the deep dish.Plus they have thin crust. So Tony's seemed like a good place to visit.
Tony's is well worth the drive. While I'm no fan of deep dish it was quite tasty. The thin crust was frickin awesome! The only real gripe I can give was a lack of sausage on the thin crust. It needed a double order of sausage to make it seem like it had enough toppings. The crust was nice and crispy and the sauce had the sweetness I love.

Will we go back?Yes we will.Especially that Clint's Pizza is right next door so the 7th St area of Moline has a few good pizza places to try.

I'm going to give Tony's a 8.5 on the Scotty scale of QC pizza. It's not your mom and dads Frank's Pizza ,but that's ok too.A good thin crust is what I am liking the older I get.

Cheers!

I had to do some editing for some nitpicker!Love you Sher.

After some back and forth about going over the river and thru the woods.Sher and I decided to old school it tonite. And visit one of the best pizza joynts in the QC.

As usual I am having a rum and coke.

Lucy is pumped!

Harris Pizza. If not the best Quad City style pizza it ranks up there with the best.

Some tomfoolery.

Sheri had a beer.Bent River beers are good.

The facilities.

Ok.On with the star of this show.Harris Pizza. We ordered a small Taco and small sausage and pepperoni.

Mollie is sad we are done.

Thoughts. If there is one or two places to get original QC style pizza it's either Frank's or Harris.Sheri and I agreed that Harris is just as good as Frank's.I have my reasons for not bragging up Frank's anymore.
There are any numerous Harris Pizza type pizza places in the QC  and I have a few favorites too.We just went to one of the originals.Seriously,Harris Pizza is tasty.Would I lie to you?

And the Batmobile!

On the Scotty pizza scale I'm gonna give this a solid 9.Harris tickles all of my pizza jones.
