Breathe In Breathe Out

We gotta big belly full of Machine Shed. I mean I'm so full. It's hard to walk, that I need a tractor to load me up!

Ok. Let's back up just a bit. It's just a week after Mothers Day and it's Mrs Quad City Pizza Blog's Birthday. Mrs Pizza wants to go to the Machine
Shed every year for her birthday. Who am I to argue with my favorite designated driver and lovely wife? Not me.

It's almost full patio time.

Some indoor mood pics. The bathroom had seen a full Sunday's crowd.

So Scotty. How was the food? As usual one can't go wrong at The Shed. Home style servings of bread, cole slaw, cottage cheese and apple sauce.

Moll got fried chicken.I got chicken fried steak. Sher got her fave parmesan crusted pork chops.

Truth in advertising. We hit the Shed 3 or 4 times a years just because. We go cause the wife wants to and that's good enough!

I'm not giving a star rating because this is not that post.

And well it's the wife's birthday and well we do it up right with a high-de-ho Pepperidge Farm cake.

As always my friends. We hope you enjoy, cause this year is gonna rock1

We did not spill the wine

I'll bet Eric Burdon has spilled some wine over the years tho. Man this video is a trip. Check out the guitar players shorts.

And so to today's blog update. And it's Mothers Day,so the kids had in mind a place to take their mother. I had no say,I digress.

So a short jaunt up HWY 61 to Tycoga Winery. Just a few miles north of Dewitt. So Scotty? A winery you ask. The have pizza on the menu, let's go!

I wish the weather would have been a bit better. Kind of a gloomy day so the outside pics are a bit dull.

Moving inside. I'm not sure but Tycoga's bathrooms are "the" cleanest restrooms I have been in since I started this blog. and the barrel sinks were an added neat factor.

A few inside pics. My tweenager would not cooperate today.

Let's get right down to it. The pizza, but first. Tycoga has a wood fired pizza oven on a trailer. No lie.

I've got to say this. Tycoga just does pizza so there really isn't any sort of menu. They have a list of about ten or so different pizza's you can order and that's it.I did not get a menu pic.

And so let's get to the pizza. I ordered a double sausage. I was told nope. Only a single serving. Ding number 1 for me.

A pic of the rest.
Andrew- Hawiian
Mollie-Cheese
Sheri-Pepperoni
Amber's Mom- Arugula
Amber-Chicken Pesto
Eric-The Loaded

I was hoping this was going to be a great pizza being it was wood fired. Alas. A few minutes undercooked. I've harped on this forever. A little char is my zza nirvana. Everyone at the table backed up my thoughts. Two more minutes would have made this pizza rock.

Everything about it was almost great. Crust was a 9. The cheese tasty. The sausage was the star. Chunky with a good wang to it. Would or will I go back for more? Maybe. I'll be right up front. These pizza's were 10 bucks a piece. Too me not worth it for how little the pizza was.

But. And there is always that but. A little overpriced but the wife loves the wine,so the two birds one stone in effect today.

Being that it's Mama's Day a musical interlude. My old man said this song is the definition of a rock and roll song. Who am I to argue with my dad's logic? Not me. This songs kicks butt.

My better half. And she is by far better than I could ever hope to be and well she makes a damn good designated driver too! And her kids love her. What more could a Mama want?

Good times my friends. And lot's of great blog posting coming down the road too.

As always

Hook,Sinker and Line!

Are we starting off this blog post with some fishing songs? Maybe, but more like I just wanted the excuse to play some Elvin Bishop tunes.

Best time I ever had in life weren't but two of us!

So it's that Cinco Taco weekend. We did not partake in any tacos nor guacamole this weekend surprisingly, cause I could eat tacos almost as much as pizza!

Okay. On with the show. Right up front this blog update has no pizza. My postings lately have split time with pizza and that other white meat. That's right, the breaded tenderloin.

So we have had some decent pizza lately and a few great tenderloins. Today we are venturing forth fairly close to home.

Go Fish Marina in beautiful Princeton Iowa. I have been past here well over ten times and always wanted to stop. Well now we have heard Go Fish has kick ass breaded tenderloins. They also have grilled tenderloins, but that's not me.

A big fish.

Don't think they serve muskie.

So lets go! In  all honesty. Your's truly could live any where around the Princeton/LeClaire area. I love the river.

River is up just a wee bit.

Some more moods.

I'm going to feel sorry for the bathroom come summer months.

The menu.

And last but not.

Our tweenager got some chicken tender lettuce wrap. She loved the fries!

So. How was the food? Sher and I give the tenderloins a good 8.5. Moll loved the chicken wrap. And Moll loved the whole Go Fish vibe. Reminded me of the ole
Chart House Lounge down by Fairport.

Will we be back? Damn right we will be back. I've always been a Mississippi river Rat kinda guy.Mollie has just fallen in love with the whole river hangout vibe.

Good times my friends,good times.
