We did not spill the wine

I'll bet Eric Burdon has spilled some wine over the years tho. Man this video is a trip. Check out the guitar players shorts.

And so to today's blog update. And it's Mothers Day,so the kids had in mind a place to take their mother. I had no say,I digress.

So a short jaunt up HWY 61 to Tycoga Winery. Just a few miles north of Dewitt. So Scotty? A winery you ask. The have pizza on the menu, let's go!

I wish the weather would have been a bit better. Kind of a gloomy day so the outside pics are a bit dull.

Moving inside. I'm not sure but Tycoga's bathrooms are "the" cleanest restrooms I have been in since I started this blog. and the barrel sinks were an added neat factor.

A few inside pics. My tweenager would not cooperate today.

Let's get right down to it. The pizza, but first. Tycoga has a wood fired pizza oven on a trailer. No lie.

I've got to say this. Tycoga just does pizza so there really isn't any sort of menu. They have a list of about ten or so different pizza's you can order and that's it.I did not get a menu pic.

And so let's get to the pizza. I ordered a double sausage. I was told nope. Only a single serving. Ding number 1 for me.

A pic of the rest.
Andrew- Hawiian
Mollie-Cheese
Sheri-Pepperoni
Amber's Mom- Arugula
Amber-Chicken Pesto
Eric-The Loaded

I was hoping this was going to be a great pizza being it was wood fired. Alas. A few minutes undercooked. I've harped on this forever. A little char is my zza nirvana. Everyone at the table backed up my thoughts. Two more minutes would have made this pizza rock.

Everything about it was almost great. Crust was a 9. The cheese tasty. The sausage was the star. Chunky with a good wang to it. Would or will I go back for more? Maybe. I'll be right up front. These pizza's were 10 bucks a piece. Too me not worth it for how little the pizza was.

But. And there is always that but. A little overpriced but the wife loves the wine,so the two birds one stone in effect today.

Being that it's Mama's Day a musical interlude. My old man said this song is the definition of a rock and roll song. Who am I to argue with my dad's logic? Not me. This songs kicks butt.

My better half. And she is by far better than I could ever hope to be and well she makes a damn good designated driver too! And her kids love her. What more could a Mama want?

Good times my friends. And lot's of great blog posting coming down the road too.

As always

Scotty
