So what does 157 Riverside Ave have to do with our blog?

Today's blog post is my lovely wife's birthday celebration. She got to pick where she wanted to go. We have bandied about this place in downtown Bettendorf. They have pizza and breaded tenderloins on the menu. Let's GO!

So Riverside Grille is down by the casino in Bettendorf. I don't give a crap about gambling so I won't give cheap advertising.

The menu.

I got ahead of myself. Right down the street from K&K Hardware.

The chow. Moll ordered a crispy chicken wrap with onion straws. Sher ordered a breaded tenderloin with hand cut fries. I ordered a Kitchen Sink pizza with extra sausage.

We first ordered cheddar nuggets. They were fresh!

Let me just say. The pizza is what I have been looking for. QC Style ground sausage on a thin crust. Riverside has a really great thin crust.


Moll love her chicken wrap. The pizza Sher and I give an 8.5. The star of tonite's show is the tenderloin. This tenderloin has a panko breading and we could see it. It really made this tenderloin stand out.

We all agreed we would be back to Riverside for more food. Well worth it if you are in the area.

It feels good to be getting back on track blog wise.

One of those bucket list places!

Give me that countryside indeed.So . I have been past Argo Corners quite a few times. Argo Corners is one of those places you might have heard about,but not really sure where it actually is.

It is  north of Pleasant Valley and Lock and Dam 14. And west of LeClaire on Territorial Rd

It has been on our radar for a long time and a bucket list check off.

Our neighbors give Argo a big thumbs up. So we decided to take a quick drive east out of town.

Poured that rum a little too strong.

From my minimal research. Argo used to be town. Maybe. The bar used to be a general store and whatever. I like to think it was a place to gather and get drunk. Cause the clientele were having a good time too.

 Argo is now a bar and grill north of PV and west of Leclaire, Works for me.

We have heard about the burgers there. Sher and Moll ordered burgers. I ordered a tenderloin as usual.

Sher and Moll loved their burgers. My tenderloin was a fritter
 We all ate most of our food. Argo has a nice breakfast menu too. We will be back for eggs and bacon.

We did like the vibe there,even tho we were outsiders. Bar food. I give it a 8.5 on the Scotty scale!

I am learning to give these off the beaten path places my food money. Cause they do hit the spot.

Sher,Moll and I agreed we would go back to Argo Corners and try out their breakfast.
