A few points to ponder after posting yesterday.

1-I need to take better pictures for sure.Fields Of Pizza pizza looked really great coming out of the kitchen.
2-I need to add thoughts about the building. The service.Atmosphere.Cleanliness.
3-I can never have enough Sailor Jerry.

Thanks for reading and following along.Any criticisms, complaints, pats on the back, thoughts are most welcome.I'm not some snooty SOB.So let me have it.

And for sure if "YOU" have a good place you like to eat at (it doesn't have to be pizza) let me know.I more than likely will be posting about some local Mexican joint,or greasy hamburger or a pork tenderloin.

Cocktail time!

Okay lets kick this blog into gear. The first real post of this blog and I believe we hit it out of the park right off the get go.For some reason Sheri and I have talked about and been by Fields Of Pizza in Moline and East Moline many times with never stopping.

Well we decided along with Sher's friend Lois's advice that this would be the first entry.I'm not sure that this place can be topped.

On with the pics.

I am getting in the mood with my fave Sailor Jerry and Coke.Cheers!

The Fields Of Pizza. This is the East Moline location.

The menu.Pretty basic, but lordy the chicken smelled truly sinfull and a shame we didn't order it.I'm already fat enough. I'm gonna get it the next time. There will be a next time too!

Here is were I need to apologize for my crappy camera. This pizza is/was/will be the gold standard from now on in my opinion as the Quad City Style Pizza it's that good. The crust was perfect.Crispy enough to pick up and eat without a fork. The toppings were plentiful and if  I could give it one little dig would be not quite enough sauce.Other than that.My tongue is still in sensory overload. .Is there anywhere to go but down as we explore the QC's pizza offerings?

Hard to say.But I'm ashamed to say this is my first trip to The Fields and will not be the last.

Mollie gives it 2 thumbs up! Even tho she had chicken strips and french fries.

With all that said.I give The Fields Of Pizza a 9.5 on the Scotty Scale of QC style pizza. The crust, toppings, sauce were just excellent.Like I said a little more sauce would have been nice, but don't let that stop you from trying Fields Of Pizza in East Moline.

More trips and adventures to come.I hope you liked my first entry.

Cheers!

Just a few pics from our visit to Frank's last year.

Frank's used to be my go to pizza place in the QC.The waitress we had that night acted like she was doing us a favor.I didn't care for that attitude for the price they charge.

I'm sure we will be back ,but it's going to be a while.Next up is probably Fields Of Pizza!

I can't promise that this blog will be updated weekly.Wonky working hours, money and a 10 year old with a snooty palate will dictate our pizza eating exploits.

That said.My go to guide for the next year will be the River City Reader QuadCitiesDiningGuide.com. They have a fairly comprehensive pizza section. We will try and get to some of the pizza joynts we normally don't visit.

Okay then. These first few months I have sorta picked out.
Alfano's in Rock Island
Fields Of Pizza in Moline
Sluggers in Silvis

Feel free to email me for tips, suggestions and call me full of shit.I am new to this and feeling my way. It's going to be fun sharing our pizza adventures with a little help from some rum too!
