That said. I've had a place over in Silvis tickling my taste buds and it's time to check it out.
Also while putting this together. Ever had a catchy tune stuck in yer head and then find a video that just totally reinvents the song?
I think I did. For those of us of a certain age who kinda grew up with the golden age of MTV. Some songs seems to stick.
Enjoy!
I could do a whole blog post of 80's video too just because the 80's was the best ever.
Okay. But Scotty. Where are we going?
Room 222. Remember that show? Never mind we are going to Tap 22 in Silvis Illinois. It's been on my radar for awhile, but like everything else dollars and time and the ole push pull means we are finally getting around to a visit.

I'm on vacation so lets have some fun.
One more awesome song before we leave. The fire in your eyes.
Yours truly getting in the mood.
A quick aside. We are truly astounded when cruising over the I-74 bridge and watching the new bridge take shape. I try and grab a few pics each time. A Billion dollars and change gets you 8 lanes and whatever else. I am really enjoying watching this bridge being built.
Okay. So Tap 22 is right across from Green Chevrolet in Silvis.
The mens bathroom was fairly clean. I give it a 7.
Pics of the menu. We were kind of shuffled off into the far corner. It wasn't very bright and was rather dark. I didn't care for that. The bar area would have been a better place for us. Oh well, live and learn.
Let's get to the chow. The gals ordered water. I got a Coke(tm). Tap 22 looked to have an impressive tap beer selection. Go see for yourself. I stick to rum.
Now. The food. Moll ordered her usual chicken strips. Sheri got the breaded Tenderloin and I ordered the double pepperoni pizza.
So how was the chow? We all agreed the pizza was actually the star of this show. Hand tossed crust had a good yeasty flavor and had a good crunch. What really made this pizza was the sauce. Yeah. I said the sauce. I can't remember the last time we had a pizza this saucy.
It was saucy!
The let down was the chicken strips. They were okay, but a bit under cooked. The tenderloin had good flavor. I wouldn't go back for it tho.
So. Final thoughts. Tap 22 is well worth it for the pizza. I can't say we will be back anytime soon, but I give it a solid 8.
While I'm on an 80's kick .I'll leave you with some Del Fuegos.
As always faithfull readers. We do this for the fun. It's a long slide, for an out!
Scotty
