Well hello! It's been awhile since we have posted.Too many home projects since the end of April have had us busy.Now that I have spent all my kids college funds it's time to get back to  what I love,pizza!

So with that said.We wanted to try something different and different is what we got.Perusing my Quad Cities Dining Guide a pizza place in Milan Illinois had been on my pizza radar for a long time.

On with the show.Yours truly and things got a little hazy right after this pic.

Okay.Onto the star of this post,the pizza!

As I said earlier.We have been super duper busy.Getting by with some Casey's Pizza and maybe one Happy Joe's trip and slumming with some Jack's frozen.

Now it's time for the star of this show.The pizza! We ordered a small Taco and a large Parkers Pizza Pie.

So.You are all asking me,Scotty.How was Pagalo's Pizza?

I say fantastic!Totally different from our normal for the area Quad City style pizza.The crust was chewy.The sauce was nice and sweet.And the chunky sausage was such a change of pace from the standard ground baby food QC style sausage.I'm not sure how the Taco pizza tasted.I only ate a few doritos off of Moll's plate.Not a taco pizza kinda guy.But Moll gave it up thumbs up,so there is that.

With all of that said.Sheri and I give Pagalo's a solid 9.5 on the Scotty scale of pizza.It was that good.We will fo sho be going over the river to visit again.

On the way home we stopped at Alfano's to take a few pics.On the radar,but Al's is really just a take out place so it has been low down on the pizza radar.Someday we will just drive over and pick some pizza's up.

Final thoughts.Pagalo's was great.Worth the drive if only because it is different from the standard Harris,Frank's et al QC pizza.
Would I lie to you about pizza?I don't think so.

After we got home I poured another Black Velvet and things got hazy!

Next road trip is going to be some traveling.We are kicking around Iowa City or a Cedar Rapids jaunt.Not sure where we end up,but.

Manny's in Fulton

I had such high hopes for this place.Alas after visiting and eating what passed for tacos and pizza there I cannot in good graces even give Manny's a 2 on the Scotty scale of pizza goodness.

We walked in.Had to figure out how to  order.There was a walk up window and then we had to figure out where to sit.

After ordering we sat and waited.And waited some more.Mollie ordered the combo plate and Sher and I ordered a double sausage and pepperoni large.

Moll got her order and we all gave it a taste.Ruh Roh Raggy!Not good.

Another 20 minutes and the pizza finally came out.The only redeeming grace was the crust.The sausage was bland and tasteless.The sauce had no taste at all.

I really wanted to like Manny's after all the good reviews I heard about.I can't.This is probably my first really bad review.Manny's sucked.

My wife hated it.My daughter Moll ate her taco platter just because.She didn't even like it and said it just tasted like grease.

Those of you that know us know we try and make the best of a bad food situation.On the way home Mollie,Sheri and I talked about it and we decided it was a bad trip to Fulton.

We won't ever go there again.I'm sorry about the friends of ours that bragged up Manny's.No offense.

Just terrible and I do not recommend wasting you money there.

Although we got a picture of Moll and I at the windmill!

With some really good advice.Sher and I will be going to Fulton Illinois for some Manny's Pizza and Taco's.All apologies.

We have been all sorts of busy trying to get a lot of yard projects done.I have been on the sly eating some frozen pizza's.Jack's pizza are pretty damn good.Anyways.

Two days spent in the back yard has Sher and I dragging ass.

We decided to call Wise Guy's for some chicken wings and pizza.We didn't really want to eat there,but we decided that Wise Guy's would hit the spot.Thought about Casey's pizza but not.Bought some life affirming powerball tickets.
